Visitation at Marion Health
The goal of visitation is to ensure patients are provided quality care,
both emotionally and physically, in a safe, non-infectious, healing environment
as well as offering patients and caregivers uninterrupted time to consult
with nurses/physicians regarding their care.
Highlights of the Marion Health general visitation policy are:
- General visiting hours: 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Patients are permitted to have one (1) guest with open visitation, such
as significant other, caregiver or power of attorney. This individual
may change within the patient's stay.
- Additional guests (other than the guest above) will be limited to two (2).
- For the protection of the patient, visitors under the age of 14 are discouraged.
- The appropriate number of visitors allowed with a patient can be adjusted
by the patient's physician or registered nurse to ensure the best
outcome for the patient and family.
Due to the nature of certain hospital units, additional visitation restrictions
may apply. Please call these units prior to your visiting.
