Diagnostic Imaging Services
The Marion Health radiology department has two state-of-the-art facilities that feature
the latest in technology, one located at the main hospital campus and
MGH Outpatient Radiology located at MGH's South Marion Medical Park
(SMMP). Our friendly staff and radiology specialists take pride in making
it easy to undergo testing in a convenient and comfortable environment.
Imaging Service Overview
At the main hospital campus radiology services include nuclear medicine,
MR, CT, ultrasound and x-ray. The nuclear medicine department provides
very accurate diagnosing by combining functional imaging with clear anatomical
CT scanning by technology known as SPECT/CT.
The Breast Imaging Center at SMMP was the first in Indiana to provide low-dose
mammography and molecular breast imaging (MBI). The SMMP radiology center
boasts “firsts” to the area such as 3T MRI and in-house PET/CT.
Ultrasound and bone density measuring services are also available at SMMP.
Our imaging services include:
- Digital 2D mammography
- Digital 3D mammography
- Molecular Breast Imaging (MBI)
- Open MRI
- Closed MRI
- PET/CT Scan
- Ultrasound
- Nuclear Medicine
- Interventional Radiology

Imaging Tailored to Your Preferences
Our MRI is a wide-open model created to help ease anxiety for patients
who have trouble in tight spaces. Additionally, there is a patient comfort
system that allows you to choose your own surroundings to increase your comfort.
Rest easy, all of Marion Health radiology is digital, therefore reducing the amount
of radiation needed to produce images while providing excellent quality.
Digital also means we are able to take images faster than ever before
and instantly share them with other medical providers on your care team.
Services are available here 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including
holidays.
