Marion General Hospital's Jeff Wakefield Named on "150 Hospital and Health System CFOs to Know" 2018 List

Jeff Wakefield, FHFMA, CPA, MHA, Chief Financial Officer at Marion General Hospital, has been named on the “150 Hospital and Health System CFOs to Know” 2018 list.

Mr. Wakefield is a Certified Public Accountant with over 16 years of experience in healthcare finance. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Campbell University and a Master’s of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina.

He has experience in capital planning, cost reporting, contract management and revenue cycle for healthcare organizations. He has worked for both for-profit and nonprofit hospitals, including in his current role as CFO of Marion Health, a nonprofit hospital that was named among the top 100 rural and community hospitals in the U.S. by iVantage Health Analytics and The Chartis Center for Rural Health this year.

The individuals featured on this list lead financial departments for large health systems as well as small community hospitals. Many play an integral role in their organization's strategic planning, growth and transactions; they have also been recognized by their peers and serve on the board of directors for community organizations.
