Marion General Hospital Recognizes Patient Experience Week

Celebrating Healthcare Staff Impacting Patient Experience Every Day

Recognizing and encouraging global efforts to improve the healthcare experience for patients, their families and caregivers, Marion Health celebrates the fifth annual Patient Experience (PX) Week April 23 – April 27, 2018.

PX Week is brought to the healthcare community by The Beryl Institute, the global community of practice dedicated to improving the patient experience through collaboration and shared knowledge.

Inspired by members of the Institute community, PX Week provides a focused time for organizations to celebrate accomplishments, reenergize efforts and honor the people who impact patient experience every day. From nurses and physicians, to support staff and executive professionals, to patients, families and communities served, the Institute hopes to bring together healthcare organizations across the globe to observe PX Week.

Marion Health plans to celebrate its healthcare staff by participating in town hall meetings and recognizing staff that demonstrate going above and beyond for our patients and families.

“Patient Experience Week is an opportunity for us to reconnect to the heart of our purpose of caring for PEOPLE every day. At Marion Health we are working together to ensure we are Making Great Happen with every patient and family interaction throughout the continuum of care and community we serve,” said Sarah Evans, Administrative Director of Patient Experience / Service Excellence.
