Marion General Hospital Call for Art to Include Main Street Photo Contest Winner

One local photographer’s winning image has been selected from the Main Street Marion Photography Contest to be included in Marion General Hospital’s Call for Art program.

The winning image for the photography contest is one picture from a black and white series that was shot in downtown Marion. The image highlights the intricate stone details of one of Marion’s more prominent downtown structures, “The Marion National Bank” building.

The contest winner, Glen Devitt, has enjoyed photography most of his life, both as a component of his work, and also for pleasure and relaxation. He likes to think he has an “optimistic eye” when he captures images with his camera.

Marion Health supports our local artists and chose to highlight their talents throughout MGH facilities. We appreciate your patience during our current room renovation process and the selection of pieces during this two-year project.

The Marion Health Call for Art program is designed to celebrate local artistic talent by establishing a meaningful connection with the surrounding community complimenting the architecture, décor and serenity of our Marion Health healthcare facilities.
