President and CEO Receives Recertification

Marion Health's Paul L. Usher, president and CEO, has received recertification as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the nation's leading professional society for healthcare leaders known for its prestigious credentialing and educational programs.

According to ACHE, recertification represents continued achievement in meeting the highest standards of professional development and excellence as a healthcare executive. Only 7,500 healthcare executives hold this distinction.

To obtain Fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional/community involvement.

Fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.

A Marion native, Usher earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Ball State University. He is also a CPA and a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

Usher has worked at Marion Health for 28 years.
